Spicy Apple Chutney

4Lbs Cooking Apples

1Lb Onions – finely chopped

1 1/2Lbs Soft Light Brown Sugar

8oz Sultanas

10 Fl ozs Malt Vinegar

2 tsp Turmeric

2 tsp Ground Ginger

2 tsp Dried Mustard Powder

2 Level Tablespoons Medium Curry Powder

Method

Stew the apples and onions in the vinegar until tender.

Add the chillies and sugar and cook for a further ten minutes.

Mix together the remaining spices, dry ingredients with a little vinegar

Stir into the apple mixture and cook for a further 30 minutes until nice golden brown colour

Pot in clean warm jars and seal
